Stanford Graduate School of Business's VC Alumni Chapter hosted a landmark event on November 20th, 2024, marking the two-year anniversary of ChatGPT's launch. Despite stormy weather, over 200 alumni and students packed the venue at Knight Way for "The Post-ChatGPT AI Investment & Technical Landscape" discussion.
Dr. Lamia Youseff, CEO of JazzComputing, delivered one of three keynote addresses, exploring the transformative impact of AI over the past 24 months. Her presentation examined the evolution from proof-of-concept to enterprise-wide deployment, analyzing crucial developments in autonomous capabilities, technical differentiation, and value creation across the AI landscape.
The keynote was followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring distinguished AI leaders: Joe Spisak, Director of Product Management for Generative AI at Meta and PyTorch founder; Fady Saad, Founder of Cybernetix Ventures; and Dr. Youseff. Jing Kuang, Partner at YPlus VC, skillfully moderated the conversation, exploring themes from open-source democratization to emerging investment opportunities across the AI stack.
